Maui Nui Storm Relief Fund
In Partnership with
The Stupski Foundation, in partnership with the Maui Economic Development Board, has established the Maui Nui Storm Relief Fund to provide limited financial assistance to households that have been impacted by the Kona Low storm systems that caused significant damage in Hawaii in March of 2026.
Eligible impacts may include:
Property damage
Loss of income due to storm disruptions
Temporary displacement
Emergency repairs or essential replacement items
This program provides one‑time cash assistance to support household recovery needs. Awards will be made following application review and determination of need. Awards are expected to range from $1,000-$2,500. We reserve the right to make award determinations above or below this range. Recipients may use funds at their discretion to support recovery efforts, including but not limited to essential repairs, replacement of damaged items, mold removal, or other recovery‑related expenses.
The Maui Nui Storm Relief Fund is intended to supplement—not replace—insurance proceeds, FEMA Individual Assistance, or other public disaster aid, and is designed to help households address unmet recovery needs resulting from the March 2026 Kona Low storm systems. Funds may not be used to duplicate expenses already covered by insurance, FEMA, or other disaster assistance programs. Households are encouraged to apply for FEMA and other individual disaster assistance if eligible. Applying to other assistance programs does not affect eligibility for this fund.
Priority will be given to applications from East Maui and Molokaʻi neighborhoods. Applications from other areas will be considered as funding allows. Households may apply regardless of insurance or public assistance status; however, priority may be given to those with unmet recovery needs.
Funding is limited to one award per household. Proof of physical residence address, via mortgage statement, lease agreement, utility bill, or other documentation, is required.
